NCSSM Middle School Math Contest

Hello,

We are excited to announce the first annual NCSSM middle school math contest, to be held at NCSSM on (tentatively, providing there is not too much conflict) April 4, 2009. The contest's difficulty will challenge even the brightest middle schoolers. We will offer power (proof), team (short answer), and individual (short answer) rounds, with the individual round split into three subjects - Algebra, Geometry, and Discrete Math. Each student will take all three subjects, and the top scorers in each subject will qualify for the Final Round, a short-answer test. A combination of Final Round and subject test scores will determine the overall individual winners. The top teams and individuals will receive prizes.
